Five young children sit on a blanket on the floor of a classroom. They have their arms around each other and are smiling and laughing.

TECS is building the capacity of early childhood education programs through quality training, consultation and identified resources to support successful services for children with developmental differences to thrive alongside their peers in early education programs.

There are talented, dedicated, and creative staff who work in the early childhood education network.  Those professionals, when adequately trained in best practices and appropriate supports, can meet children where they are and gently nudge them to the next level in their natural environment.  Safety for children comes from relationships with nurturing people in their lives, not from a place or specialized program.

TOGETHER, we can do this!

TECS supports Arkansas Better Beginnings standards and quality early childhood education and care.  Professional development hours are approved by the Arkansas Professional Development Registry.

Training and consultation for early childhood professionals and parents is administered by Partners, Arkansas’ University Center on Disabilities at the University of Arkansas and supported by Department of Education, Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Office of Early Childhood.
